A
skilful blend of fluid dance movements and gymnastics, acro
allows students to enhance their strength, flexibility,
agility
and physical control. Students
will learn walkovers, balances, tumbling, and contortion, as well as
conventional dance steps. Classes
consist of warm-up, core training, tricks, and combinations.

| BALLET |
The
foundation for all dance forms, ballet is a
classical dance form that develops grace, poise, posture, balance, and
control. Classes consist of
barre work, centre practice, adage and allegro as well as pointe work for
the major students. Dancers
will study the discipline of ballet through the Royal Academy of Dancing (R.A.D.).
The
discipline and
technical
skill gained through the study of ballet is necessary for all other forms
of dance. Pointe work begins in Intermediate Foundation.

| HIP
HOP |
A
high-energy dance form, that has its roots in jazz, that brings the latest
funk, hip hop and street style into the classroom.
Incorporating popular hip-hop
and R&B music, hip-hop allows the student to learn all the current
dance steps from today's popular music videos.
Classes include warm-up, centre work, and combinations.
Recreational
& Competitive classes are available. |
| JAZZ |
A
dynamic technical form of dance in which students learn proper technique,
physical coordination, and style with an emphasis on proper execution of
jumps, turns and control in the body.
Classes include warm-up, centre work, down the floor progressions,
and combinations. Jazz
is a fundamental dance form that complements all other dance forms.
Recreational

| LYRICAL / CONTEMPORARY |
A
fusion of the
beauty and grace of ballet, the
style and strength of jazz,
and the intricate movements of modern dance,
lyrical/contemporary is an interpretive form of dance reflected by the lyrics in a
song. Students will continue
to develop their balance,
extension, and control,
and learn to express themselves through music that can be slow, soft
and flowing or elegantly intense. Classes
consist of warm-up, centre practice, down the floor progressions, and
combinations.

| MUSICAL
THEATRE |
A
theatrical combination
of acting, dance, and lip-syncing, musical theatre allows students to
portray different characters and story lines inspired by musicals and
movies. Vocalists are
welcome!

| TAP |
A
‘noisy’ dance form in which students learn to make rhythmic sounds
with their feet. Tap dancing
allows students to develop coordination with a particular emphasis on
technique, rhythm, quality of sound, clarity, and stylized movement.
Classes include warm-up, progressive
and intricate tap
technique work, and combinations.
Recreational

These classes are
in addition to regular competitive training and
